About me
Welcome to my profile.
Alana Everest - Anxiety, Stress, Relationship challenges and Depression.
Hello, I'm Alana, a competent, compassionate, empathetic, warm, psychotherapeutic counsellor. I have experience working with anxiety, depression, stress, overthinking, grief/loss, relationship issues, low self-esteem and self-confidence, supporting both adults and young adults. As an empathetic and understanding counsellor, I offer face to face and online sessions. Consisting of early morning appointments, evening and day time appointments. I am accredited and registered with NCPS.
As a dedicated, empathetic counsellor, I understand reaching out for help and finding the right person could be challenging. Therefore, during Initial Consultation, I am here to listen, support and guide you in a warm, confidential, safe, non-judgemental environment. Enabling you to share your reasons for therapy. Allowing us both to assess whether it would be ethically appropriate for us to work together. If I am not a suitable therapist with your permission, I would help you to make a suitable referral.
I am passionate about providing support to individuals facing life’s challenges, supporting and guiding you through your journey towards growth, self-awareness and self-reflection. This would allow us to work together to unlock your potential and cultivate a life filled with meaning, hope and continue your journey positively to self-actualisation.
What to expect in your first session:
During your first therapy session I would ask you some questions regarding your reasons for seeking therapy without giving judgements or solutions. To gain a better understanding we would discuss your family history, symptoms and current state of mind. This would allow us to acknowledge whether we are ethically suitable to work together and then plan how we would continue together using the appropriate approaches and goals that would benefit you.
I have experience counselling for a mental health charity working with 18-25 year olds listening, guiding and supporting them with self-reflection, self-awareness as they worked through their depression, worries, stress, anxiety. Whilst exploring, recognising and assessing their triggers, connecting with their past challenges and then finding positive solutions, enabling them to overcome their difficulties. Where they felt safe, empowered and hopeful.
I have extensive training and experience in various therapeutic modalities, including Person-Centred, Psychodynamic, CBT and REBT. I am committed to helping my clients achieve a holistic well-being.
How counselling may help:
Within my counselling practice, I offer a pluralistic approach, tailoring each session to meet the unique needs and goals of my clients. Whether you are struggling with anxiety, stress, depression, grief/loss, feeling stuck or other mental health concerns.
Professional counselling provides an inclusive supportive and ethical practice where you feel understood, valued and listened to. I will encourage you to explore your mind and well-being, in a non-judgemental safe space. As you begin to understand your past and present, whilst making connections with your emotions, thoughts, feelings and behaviours. I will enable you to self-reflect and positively set future goals as you begin heal.
Please feel free to connect with me to learn more about my services or to schedule an appointment.
I look forward to supporting you on your path to well-being.
