About me
Hi, I’m Aimee. I’m a pluralistic counsellor and psychotherapist, which means I work collaboratively to find an approach that feels right for you. I believe there is no “one size fits all” in therapy, so we can explore a range of methods together and discover what works best for your unique needs.
I have a trauma-focused background and have worked extensively with a charity supporting adults and young people who have experienced childhood sexual abuse. I understand that trauma can show up in many different ways such as anxiety, depression, flashbacks, relationship difficulties, or a sense of feeling “stuck” in unhelpful patterns. My aim is to support you in navigating these experiences in a safe, compassionate, and non-judgmental space.
I am also passionate about neurodiversity and supporting individuals whose brains process the world differently. I draw on person-centred, CBT, and psychodynamic approaches, and I enjoy incorporating creative tools such as art and sandtray to help explore thoughts and feelings in a more expressive and accessible way.
Together, we will work at your pace to help you feel understood, supported, and empowered.

Experience: I have 10 years of experience supporting children and young people affected by trauma, attachment disruption and abuse.

Alongside therapeutic work, I have extensive residential care experience, working collaboratively with families and multi-agency partners to rebuild fractured relationships and promote stability and resilience.
I am passionate about creating safe, consistent and empowering therapeutic spaces for adults and young people to process trauma and step into their autonomy.
