About me
Life can feel heavy at times, and it’s easy to feel stuck or overwhelmed. You don’t have to face it alone. In our sessions, we connect in a calm, wooden cabin nestled in a peaceful garden surrounded by nature, a space rooted in authenticity and acceptance, where you can slow down, breathe, and explore what’s happening for you.
Therapeutic Approach
My approach is trauma-informed, person-centred, and integrative, blending talk therapy with somatic work to support both mind and body.
I work with children and adults, providing a safe, compassionate environment to explore experiences, build resilience, and reconnect with your strength and potential.
Training, qualifications & experience
I have over 20 years of experience as an NHS professional in paediatrics, alongside experience as a school counsellor and in the charity sector supporting women affected by domestic abuse. My qualifications include:
- BSc (Hons) MCSP
- DIP MBACP Therapeutic Counselling
- Somatic EMDR Practitioner Certification
- Trauma-Informed Practice Certification
- Safeguarding Adults and Children certification
- Online and Telephone Counselling certification
- Domestic Abuse Training
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information
Over the years, my own therapeutic journey has been one of deep self-discovery and self-acceptance. I’ve explored my true self and awakened to my own journey and potential. Through this process, I’ve learned what it means to live authentically and embrace all parts of myself.
As a result, I feel more grounded, confident, and self-aware. My relationships, communication, and the way I engage with the world have been transformed.
Most importantly, this journey has helped me discover my true passion: supporting others as they navigate their own path of growth, healing, and self-compassion.
Special interests
LGBTQIA+, neurodiversity, Somatic body work, trauma
As an LGBTQIA+ and neurodivergent counsellor, I feel I can offer a unique insight into navigating the unique challenges we face. In a world where we often feel misunderstood, I’ve created a space where people can exhale, explore, and begin to heal, a space grounded in authenticity, acceptance, and care.
Taking the first step towards counselling can feel daunting, but you don’t have to have everything figured out before you begin. We can start wherever you are.
