About me
I am an experienced, BACP registered counsellor who works with adults, young people and couples of all backgrounds, cultures, genders and sexualities. I offer a healing relationship that is compassionate and free from judgment, so you can feel accepted, valued and deeply understood. This can lead to a sense of inner peace and self-acceptance as well as a better relationship with yourself and others.
You may be considering coming to therapy because you are feeling lost, depressed, confused, lonely, anxious, stuck or unsettled. These feelings can be painful and overwhelming, but you do not have to go through it alone.
I specialise in helping people with issues such as anxiety, low self-esteem, loneliness, depression, emotional dysregulation, relationship or family issues, trauma and shame. I also have extensive experience in working with neurodivergent clients such as those with and without a diagnosis of ASD and/or ADHD.
I am a fully supervised member of BACP and I adhere to the BACP ethical framework for the counselling professions in all aspects of my work.
How to get started
I offer a free 20-minute initial consultation. This will give us a chance to get to know each other, discuss what brings you to therapy, and for you to ask me any questions you may have. If you choose to go ahead, we can then arrange a first session. Here we will talk more about you, your preferences and hopes for therapy and the changes you would like to see in your life.
Training, qualifications & experience
I have over 20 years’ experience of working with people therapeutically in a variety of community and education settings. I am a school counsellor in a secondary school, and in my private practice I work both online via zoom and in-person at Space To Be You in Hackney.
My core training is in Person-Centred Therapy. This means I am trained to provide the conditions which enable you to grow and become closer to your authentic self. I believe that you have within you the capacity for positive growth, whatever this looks like for you. Our work together is to help you to reconnect with your needs and values and develop a deeper understanding of yourself through gentle exploration and self compassion.
I am also trained in Solution-Focussed Therapy and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy which I integrate into my practice depending on the needs and preferences of my clients. These approaches combined with knowledge of Neuroscience and Polyvagal Theory mean I can offer valuable tools and techniques to build and strengthen personal resources and coping strategies, helping you move towards personally meaningful goals and a more fulfilling life.
I have further training and experience in relationship counselling and draw from several effective approaches to support couples to develop deeper understanding and empathy for each other, improve communication and change unhelpful patterns. My extensive experience of working in the field of restorative approaches, conflict resolution and mediation have provided a useful foundation for this work.
Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
