About me

Hello and welcome to my profile.

We are all in partnership with life, but sometimes we may not feel as if we are.

Could you benefit from a safe, non-judgmental and confidential place to take some time-out ... to explore your thoughts and feelings and find a way forward, helping you lead a more balanced and meaningful life?  No matter how challenging the circumstances, finding peace can be possible.

I am an experienced, qualified committed Counsellor/Psychotherapist, Stress Management Practitioner, Eating Disorder Practitioner and Clinical Hypnotherapist based in Lindford, Hampshire.    I offer counselling to all surrounding areas of Lindford, including Guildford, Hindhead, Haslemere, Grayshott, Farnham, Bordon, Alton and Petersfield.

I have been working in private practice since 2003 and my approach is to work alongside clients, listening to the issues that they present with, helping clients to develop specific strategies to reduce conflict, ease transitions - providing clients with the tools that will help them to manage their lives and make decisions.  Enabling clients to find their own unique way forward.

I offer short or long term counselling to:  Teenagers, Adults, Individuals and Couples with the aim of enabling clients to enhance their lives, feel empowered and live more fully.

As well as being a counsellor and psychotherapist, I also write and present workshops for schools throughout the Counties on Exam Stress/Anxiety, Stress/Anxiety Management for Teachers, Self-esteem and Confidence, Eating Issues and Self Harm. For businesses workshops on Stress Management.

I am extremely passionate about helping people to achieve their full potential in their lives and beat low confidence, low self-esteem, stress and anxiety issues.

I appreciate how difficult it is for most people to ask for help, but trust me when I say this .... taking that first step is most often the hardest step to take and what follows on from that becomes a way of reclaiming what is rightfully yours ....... Your Life..... Your Journey ..... Your Adventure...

Christine, Thank you for all your fantastic support and encouragement.  I know I am in such a different place to when we first met.  The counselling has been a great help and I feel I've been set on the right path now to travel onwards in a new journey.  Thank you.    Hampshire

Member organisations

Registered / Accredited

Registered / Accredited

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
