About me

By the time you've decided that you would like to speak to someone, you are in a different place, you've made a decision.                                                                    You can speak to me with no obligation, just send me a text and we can fix a time for a brief 20 minute chat.  From this conversation, you can decide whether you would like to work with me for a session or two, or continue for longer, it's up to you.                                                                                                                             I am not a therapist who just sits and listens nodding their head from time to time.                                                                                                                           As in everyday life, the quality and use of conversation in therapy relies on the quality of the relationship. It is my wish therefore to help you to feel at ease so we can have open conversations and discover what choices you have in your present situation. Whatever your concerns, we can look at and maybe discover new directions. It is your time, but I'm with you.

I have experience in:

  • anxiety
  • panic
  • bereavement
  • relationships
  • work
  • retirement
  • boredom
  • lack of achievement
  • creativity
  • body image
  • relationship to food
  • alcohol
  • drugs
  • and sexuality.

Please note this list is not exhaustive and I would be more than happy to speak with you about any issues or difficulties.

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

UKCP

UK Council for Psychotherapy

The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.

As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.

UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
