Dealing with my complex layered traumas
Like many, I have always been the type of person to try to cope on my own, no matter how bad my situation. By doing this I alienated a lot of friends and family over the years. Many years ago a counsellor tried to mediate for me with a family member. It did not go down well at all. Since then I left it alone, hoping to move on from it all. I learned the very hard way that all my so called complex layered traumas are so because I didn't deal with them at the time. 17 years later and I've learned so much from talking things through. Discovered much about myself through Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, self examination, environmental and social factors. I am pleased that I did open up in the end, it has benefited me hugely and makes me look at life entirely differently.
