An ongoing therapeutic group for women to explore any challenges they might be experiencing in their lives, within a safe and supportive environment.

Group therapy is a deep practice. It is an opportunity for both individual and interpersonal understanding and transformation. In the presence of others, we are able to know ourselves more fully. Through extending care and connection to others, we bring ourselves into being.

Our lives are infused with existential concerns, such as change, uncertainty and anxiety. To live with greater authenticity and ease requires us to confront and find meaning within these existential givens, as opposed to avoiding or denying them. This experiential group extends an invitation to show up more fully to our lives, to pay close attention to our experiences as they arise within this dynamic and relational therapeutic context. It is a means to practice new ways of relating to both yourself and to others.

This group will be both meditative and dialogic in its nature and intention. Our capacity to be present and participative will be supported by a guided meditation practice at the start of each session in order to prepare the ground for bringing greater awareness to our interactions with others. The dialogic process will be responsive and open to the concerns and experiences participants wish to express and explore.

This group is suitable for those who wish to engage with group therapy for a minimum of ten weeks. No previous experience of therapy is required. New members may join when places become available. The group meets over four blocks of ten weeks four times each year.

Remaining dates for 2017: 3rd August – 5th October, 19th October – 21st December.
