Insight therapeutic development is helping to spread the message of the body image movement! Through this screening of the brilliant documentary Embrace, we are hoping to increase awareness about issues of body image. The first 50 tickets sold will cover the costs of the screening; beyond that we will donate a minimum of £5 per ticket sold to the following charities: girlsoutloud.org.uk and maytree.org.uk

Embrace follows Taryn’s crusade as she explores the global issue of body loathing, largely from a female perspective, inspiring us to change the way we feel about ourselves and think about our bodies.

After 24 months of travelling, interviewing, production and post production, Taryn and the Embrace team have created a film that is relevant, relatable, highly engaging – but above all life changing. Embrace had its world premiere at the 2016 Sydney Film Festival, where it made it into the festival directors’ top 5 picks and was nominated for the Documentary Australia Foundation Award for Best Documentary.

We will be holding an informal discussion after the screening of Embrace from 12 noon. This is open to anyone who wishes to stay and listen or contribute, and any counsellors or therapists attending will be issued with a CPD certificate at the end of the discussion.
