Mindfulness - Kindness and Acceptance
Mindfulness is not a magic cure for the difficulties in life but it does enable us to choose our response to what arises. Developing awareness of our mental and emotional states it helps to pick up on inner reactions before we get propelled into unhelpful behaviour and old habits of responding.
Workshop - Kindness and acceptance We may find it easy to treat others kindly... What about ourselves? Have you got a kind disposition towards yourself? Are you loving and happy with who you are now? Do you appreciate, validate, accept and support who you are at this moment? Acceptance comes from Latin and means “to find rest in”. Do you “find rest in” the challenging events of your life ....or are you fighting against them?
In this workshop through teaching, guided meditation and exercises we will practice and learn:
- to nourish ourselves and to be aware of our own needs
- how to “find rest in” – to find the quiet place inside
- to be truly present for the others
- the tools that help you to be aware of your moods and to choose a positive response to life challenges.
