About the seminar

In this seminar for individuals and couples we will explore how your attachment style plays out in your relationship with your partner.

In a couple, each individual understands their world according to their own templates, learned in early relational experiences, usually with parents or primary care takers. These principles will determine what you expect from relationships, what your responses to your partner are likely to be and generally what meaning you create of interactions with your partner.

One way of thinking about these templates it to look at our attachment styles: secure, avoidant or anxious. The seminar gives you an opportunity to consider your own attachment style and how it influences your thinking about your partner and your behavioural patterns.

Session outline

10am - Introduction to attachment styles: secure, anxious/preoccupied, dismissive/avoidant and disorganised/fearful.

11am - Your own, personal attachment style and its impact on your view of the world.

12pm - Your attachment style and implications for your relationship: different dynamics at play.
