HertsBeds CPD workshop for counsellors and psychotherapists - transactional analysis
HertsBeds CPD workshop for counsellors and psychotherapists - transactional analysis – 18 November 2017
Transactional Analysis (TA) in the therapy room: TA concepts and interventions
Presented by Carole Gallagher - Registered MBACP (Accred), Certified Transactional Analyst; MSc. in Transactional Analysis
TA is a powerful tool to improve communication in couple relationships which counsellors who counsel couples will find very effective.
This workshop is aimed at therapists who are not overly familiar with Transactional Analysis (TA) but would like to add some TA concepts to their current therapeutic approach.
The day will provide an introductory guide to TA and explore how TA concepts can be used to:
- Understand client issues
- Frame interventions
- Look at how therapists can use TA to heighten their own awareness in the therapy room.
The day will consider aspects of using TA in individual and couple settings, using a mix of explanation, case studies and exercises.
A certificate of attendance for six hours will be issued.
