Supervision details
I offer a supportive and collaborative form of supervision, which respects that each practitioner practices using their own set of skills, theoretical background and style. My job in supervision is to help nurture and enhance the practice you already have, whether that be through gentle challenge, joining you in reflection or troubleshooting tricky cases together.
At times, there may be a need to offer support and insight into the specific client work you are doing. At other times, the focus needs to be on the relational aspects, process or wellbeing of the practitioner. Each has an essential place in our work and I am glad to be able to honour that in supervision.
I have specialist experience in supervising trainee and newly-qualified Counsellors and CBT Therapists - do get in touch if you are either of these. I am also very keen to work with experienced practitioners who want a change from their current supervision arrangements.
In taking on a new supervisee, I usually propose contracting for a set of four supervision sessions in the first instance, before committing to continuing our work together. This gives us both time to ensure we are a good fit.
I welcome you to get in touch - we can start with an initial phone call and take things from there.
