Laura Fulcher MA, UKCP accred. Dip. Sup.
I have worked as a supervisor for 6 years. I supervise clinicians working with adults, children and young people, either in a group or as individuals. I have a Diploma in Supervision for Clinicians working with Children, Young People and Adults, fromTerapia/Middlesex University.
As an integrative practitioner I often use creative methods in my supervision such as using a sand tray to look at the issues around a client, or drawing images to help you understand your relationship to the client. I follow the teachings of Shohet and Hawkins who suggest that anything that comes into the room during supervision is part of the process and can be examined. This makes for interesting and deep supervision and is usually very supportive and enlightening for the supervisee.
