About me
Integrative Counsellor & Clinical Supervisor | Supporting People Carrying Significant Responsibility
Perhaps people see you as capable and steady, yet privately you feel exhausted, on edge, anxious, overwhelmed or close to burnout.
Many of the people I work with are carrying a great deal of responsibility in their work, families or communities.
They are often 'the reliable one', the capable one, or the person others naturally turn to.
Over time, holding that much can take its toll, especially when life takes an unexpected turn, leaving you feeling emotionally drained, unable to switch off, disconnected from yourself, or unsure of what you want any more.
You may be:
- Experiencing work-related stress, the pressures of leadership, or responsibility fatigue, with that constant feeling of “I need to carry it” or “It's all up to me, so I can't put a foot wrong.”
- Struggling with anxiety that rarely seems to settle, despite appearing to ‘cope just fine’ on the outside.
- Finding yourself stuck in patterns of people-pleasing, perfectionism or putting everyone else's needs before your own.
- Navigating grief, loss or a significant life transition such as bereavement, redundancy, changes in your health, becoming disabled, or another unexpected change in life.
- Living with the long-term impact of growing up with an emotionally immature parent, a parent with narcissistic tendencies, or within a co-dependent family dynamic, where you often felt responsible for everyone else.
Therapy with me offers a calm, compassionate space to slow things down. We work at a pace your nervous system can manage, making sense of the ways you've learned to cope, which may once have protected you but may now be keeping you stuck.
I am an integrative counsellor and qualified clinical supervisor. My work is trauma-informed and practical, grounded in both talking therapy and somatic (body-based) approaches. This might include breathwork, paying attention to bodily sensations, or other supportive ways of working with your nervous system.
This means we don't only explore thoughts and emotions. We also pay attention to how stress, grief and difficult experiences are carried in the body, helping you reconnect with a greater sense of steadiness, self-understanding and choice.
You don't have to keep carrying all of this on your own.
Therapy offers the opportunity to understand what's been happening, reconnect with yourself, and begin responding to life in ways that feel more sustainable.
Together we might focus on:
- Processing grief and loss in a contained and supportive way.
- Reducing burnout, over-functioning and chronic stress.
- Strengthening healthy boundaries without guilt.
- Building emotional resilience and self-compassion.
- Understanding long-standing relationship patterns and responding differently.
- Reconnecting with what matters most to you.
My aim is to offer a therapeutic relationship where you feel accepted, understood and supported as you make meaningful, lasting change.

I am a Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and work in accordance with its Ethical Framework.
Alongside my counselling practice, I also work as a clinical supervisor supporting counsellors and coaches in private practice and organisational settings.
Together, these different strands of experience help me support people with both the immediate difficulties that bring them to therapy and the longer-standing patterns that may sit beneath them. My aim is always to provide a thoughtful, compassionate and collaborative space where you can explore your experiences safely and at your own pace.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
