About me
I am a fully qualified Integrative Psychotherapist with six years of experience in private practice and the NHS Medical Trauma Service. I strive to provide an honest and supportive space where you can find motivation, genuine encouragement, and just the right amount of challenge to help you grow.
Having worked extensively with individuals facing terminal illness and medical trauma, I deeply appreciate the value of life and have a profound respect for our unique ways of adapting to our suffering.
My approach is focused on building a strong therapeutic relationship between us and exploring your relationships with yourself and others. I believe that by paying close attention to your inner world, you can find ways to be kinder to yourself and reconnect with those parts of you that may be holding you back, ultimately putting you in control of your own transformation.
In therapy, my goal is to inspire you to move closer to your true self and help you understand how you have learned to adapt to your circumstances. By recognizing how these patterns have formed and how they now impact your relationship with yourself and others, you can begin to create a space where you can make life choices that are truly right for you.
Training, qualifications & experience
I studied at the Welsh Psychotherapy Institute in Cardiff and completed a PG Advanced Diploma in Integrative Psychotherapy.
I'm a professional member of WPI and also an accredited member of the UK Council for Psychotherapy. In my therapy practice, I incorporate Attachment theory, Gestalt therapy and Internal Family Systems and draw insights from Trauma and Neuroscience.
Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.
As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.
UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
