About me
Finding the right therapist for your individual needs can feel daunting, especially when already going through challenging times. Whether you are seeking support for a specific issue or simply a space to process difficult emotions, my primary aim is to provide a compassionate and confidential environment where you feel safe to explore anything on your mind, no matter how big or small. I believe that building a trusting relationship, where you feel truly seen and heard without judgment or prejudice, is the key to fostering meaningful change, whether in short-term or long-term therapy.
My experience includes supporting clients through a variety of mental health difficulties, including depression, anxiety, panic attacks, guilt & shame, low self-esteem, and issues related to work, career, family, and relationships. I have also volunteered for a crisis-intervention service, where I regularly engaged in conversations about trauma, suicide, self-harm, risk, and abuse. I practice in both, trauma-informed and neurodiversity-informed way, and my special interest lies in multicultural issues and concepts of self-identity.
With an initial career in health and food safety, I have always been passionate about supporting the well-being of others. Across more than 15 years in management positions within the dynamic and diverse hospitality industry, I encountered a wide range of people with varied identities, backgrounds, and life stories. This experience, alongside my own personal journey as a therapy client, deepened my fascination with the complexities of our shared human experience and eventually led me to train as a therapist and pursue a career in mental health.
My approach
Rooted in the person-centered model, my main therapeutic stance views each client as the expert on their own life, as nobody else really knows what it is like to be 'YOU'. With this in mind, compassion, empathy and genuine curiosity in you as an individual are fundamental to my practice.
As an integratively-trained therapist, I blend various therapeutic modalities to suit your specific needs, particularly drawing from the psychodynamic, existential and solution-focused approaches. I believe that our early life experiences, significant relationships, and unconscious processes continuously shape our current sense of self and how we navigate the world. Exploring the past and making sense this way of what is going on 'here and now' is something I always encourage with my clients.
Next steps
If you feel I might be the right therapist for you, please call or email me to book a session. If preferable, I also offer a free 15-20 minute initial introductory call, which can be booked also here through the site.
After deciding to proceed with regular sessions, we will agree on the start date, time, and location (in-person or online) and discuss the arrangement in more detail. Each session lasts 50 minutes and costs £70. The duration of therapy is open-ended or as per each individual agreement. I welcome both, long and short-term therapy clients.
Training, qualifications & experience
In addition to working in private practice, my previous work experience in mental health includes delivering short-term therapeutic interventions through the NHS Lambeth (NHS Talking Therapies), as well as open-ended, long-term therapy within the counselling services in Clapham and Tooting. Prior to this I have trained and volunteered at a mental health crisis-intervention service.
Qualifications & Training
I hold a BACP-accredited Diploma in Integrative Counselling.
Additionally, I am committed to continually engage in courses, workshops, and other educational events as parts my continuous professional development (CPD). This supports me in ensuring my work is ethical and my knowledge is up-to-date, for the best benefit of my clients.
Most recently I completed certified courses in 'Neurodivergence & Mental Health (Trauma-Informed Support Model), 'Trauma-Informed Practice', 'Therapeutic Groups Facilitation', and 'Walk & Talk' & 'Nature Therapy'.
Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
