About me

" Loneliness and darkness have just robbed me of my valuables". -Freud

For all of us there are times when life becomes too difficult to bear alone. People come to psychotherapy for many reasons. You may have experienced a particular crisis that has left you struggling with powerful or disturbing feelings. Or you might feel overwhelmed by your emotions. Perhaps you feel angry, depressed, lonely or stuck, you might have suffered a bereavement, or some other loss. The aim of psychotherapy is, through working and thinking together, to help understand your state of mind. Psychodynamic psychotherapy accepts that we all have an unconscious life, which can exert a powerful hold.

Whatever your reason for considering Psychotherapy, I offer long - term open-ended psychotherapy and short term counselling for adults of all backgrounds. I offer a professional and confidential space for you to talk about your issues that are really bothering and for us to work together to think about your experience. I work under the BACP guidelines for ethical practice.

My clients come from every walk of life. My way of working is providing a safe and supportive setting in which you can explore what is troubling you, without fear of being judged or criticised. you will then be able to gain greater insight and understanding of the thoughts, beliefs and behaviours that affect your life and relationships.

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
