About me
We all experience difficult times, you may feel out of control in more ways than possible, please contact me to see if face to face, telephone/Zoom counselling can help. I’m offering a free of charge initial consultation
Events, experiences or triggers can cause anxiety, depression and or relationship problems at some stage in our lives, making our everyday life very difficult. Unwanted memories, fear, trauma and habits we don't understand and cannot give up, can cause emotional turmoil. At these times we cannot make sense of life's puzzle, since none of the pieces are obvious to us in that moment. Counselling can help put some of those pieces together, helping us to see the whys and the wherefore. It can eventually help us to see a clearer picture. Hopefully working towards a more positive change and/or understanding.
How I work
I am an integrative counsellor and psychotherapist able to provide therapy to suit your individual needs, we may work with any combination of the following approaches that suit your needs best; Attachment theory, Transactional analysis, CBT, Mindfulness, Existentially, psychotherapeutically and The Person Centred approach. The work will be carried out in a non judgemental and confidential space, where you can express your feelings safely and supportively. Counselling can benefit everyone, however considering therapy can be a difficult decision to make, but once you have made that step I will fully support and respect your wishes if you do not wish to continue
in order to make sure you are happy to work with me in partnership, I offer individuals a 30 minute consultation to consider how best we can work together and discuss a working agreement, this will be free of charge. Also I can offer concessions for daytime appointments, please do ask.
for your information:
I have worked within agency settings such as Mind with Adults, Connexions (Young people) along side my private practice for sometime. I have also worked with young people and teachers in a Buckinghamshire secondary school. It's given me so much in depth experience around differing client issues. Particularly depression, anxiety, relationship concerns and low self worth. I have also had a great deal of experience with bullying in the work place.

In 2013 the NCS register was accredited by the Professional Standards Authority under the Accredited Voluntary Register Scheme. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
