About me
I’m William, a counsellor based in Shoreditch (EC2A) offering focused therapy for adults who feel stuck in patterns they understand intellectually but can’t seem to break.
My Specialisms
Relationship Challenges
I work with individuals who want to improve their relationships, communication and emotional patterns. We explore attachment, boundaries, communication and the ways past experiences can influence how you relate to others.
Together, we work towards greater understanding, healthier boundaries and stronger, more fulfilling connections.
Rebuilding Trust with Men
I support women who are exploring difficulties with trust, safety and relationships with men.
Past experiences, including unhealthy relationships or growing up with absent, unsafe or emotionally unavailable male figures, can sometimes affect how safe we feel in relationships later in life.
Together, we can explore these emotional patterns, build self-worth, establish healthy boundaries and develop safer, more fulfilling relationships at your own pace.
Anxiety & Overthinking
I support adults experiencing anxiety, overthinking, people-pleasing, perfectionism, self-criticism, avoidance or anger that may be affecting their work, relationships or confidence.
Together, we explore the patterns keeping you stuck and develop healthier ways to manage emotions, build confidence and feel more in control.
Anger & Emotional Management
I help clients understand and manage anger, irritability and intense emotions by exploring triggers, unmet needs and underlying emotional patterns.
Rather than simply trying to suppress difficult emotions, we work towards understanding what they are communicating and finding healthier ways to respond.
Burnout & Stress-Related Exhaustion
I support clients experiencing chronic stress, burnout and emotional exhaustion.
This can include fatigue, anxiety, low mood, overwhelm, difficulty switching off and feeling as though you are constantly running on empty.
We can explore what is contributing to your stress and develop healthier ways of managing pressure, emotions and expectations.
Pornography, Alcohol & Drug Use
I work with men whose use of pornography, alcohol or drugs may be affecting their relationships, intimacy or emotional wellbeing.
Together, we explore the reasons behind these behaviours, including stress, loneliness or difficulties managing emotions, and how they may be contributing to conflict or disconnection.
The aim is to understand these patterns, regain a sense of control and develop healthier ways of managing emotions and relationships.

You might find yourself:
- Always imagining the worst-case scenario
- Overthinking a relationship or breakup long after it has ended
- Constantly worrying about what other people think
- People-pleasing or finding it difficult to say no
- Setting impossibly high standards for yourself
- Being highly self-critical when things don't go as planned
- Avoiding social, work or relationship situations because they feel overwhelming
- Holding anger in until it builds up, or expressing it in ways that affect others
- Taking responsibility for other people's emotions and feeling responsible for keeping everyone happy
My work is focused on understanding what is driving these patterns and helping you change them.
You don't need to have everything figured out before you come. We can start with what's happening now and work backwards to understand why you respond the way you do.
The aim is to help you break these patterns and feel more confident, in control and able to respond differently in your relationships, work and everyday life.
I offer sessions in Shoreditch, near Old Street or Angel (N1) as well as online across the UK. I offer a free introductory 30minute session face-to-face or online. I offer daytime sessions Monday–Friday, with evening appointments on Wednesday and Thursday.
Training, qualifications & experience
I have trained in Transpersonal Psychosynthesis Counselling, with a particular emphasis on childhood trauma and its ongoing impact on present-day experiences. I have also worked as a Solution Focused Therapist for Lambeth NHS, offering focused, goal-oriented therapy to support individuals in navigating their challenges. I have worked with all levels of risk and trauma at IAPTUS Level 3.
I co-founded Kuu London an osteopathy and complementary therapy clinic and have gained extensive knowledge of various healing modalities - both medical and holistic, Eastern and Western. My background is rooted in years of meditation practice, self-enquiry, and the study of Vedic knowledge and traditions. I have taught meditation to students of all levels. I also facilitate workshops, working with trauma and healing in group circles.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
