About me

I currently work online and outdoors.

Hi, we haven't met yet.  If you're struggling or feeling stuck in your life, I can help.  Maybe you feel like something is missing, you feel sad or angry, or you're in the middle of difficult life changes.

Outwardly you might look fine, but inside you might be depressed, anxious, or have problems with relationships.  Together we can go to a new level of understanding yourself. Self understanding leads to self acceptance and a feeling that you are ok - and this gives you a choice about how to change the parts of yourself you want to change.

I help you work through your thoughts, feelings, and behaviour in a non-judgemental way.

I’m an expert listener – a space where you are truly listened to and understood can be transformational.  Email me to make an initial appointment.

Often people think their worries are too silly to talk about, or that others people's problems are much bigger than theirs.  This just isn't true.  You'd be amazed how many times people come to me with a 'small' problem that has overshadowed their lives for years.  I won't tell you what to do,  but I will walk with you on your journey of self discovery.

I believe we are connected to our environment and this impacts on us and our wellbeing. Where appropriate, I offer outdoor or 'ecotherapy'. this involves walking and talking.

Work with me:
I am an experienced, fully qualified, registered and accredited Jungian informed psychodynamic psychotherapist.  I am very experienced with young adults (18-25 years,) and with professionals. Initially we meet for an assessment session so you can decide if this is for you.

Depending on your needs I provide (face to face or online):

  • Short term counselling for a few weeks.
  • Longer term counselling/psychotherapy for a few years or longer, depending upon your needs.
  • Outdoor / ecotherapy where appropriate.

I've worked for a number of years in a respected voluntary sector agency, with the NHS in a specialist psychotherapy service, and in a Higher Education setting.

I currently practice online.

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
