About me

My name is Cesar, and I have proudly called the UK my home for over two decades, surrounded by the support of my family. Motivated by a deep passion for human connection, I pursued a career in therapy. I find immense joy in witnessing individuals unlock their potential.

Since earning my Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling in 2015 from the Counselling and Psychotherapy Central Awarding Body (CPCAB), I have committed myself to private practice. My experience includes placements at The Awareness Centre, NHS Surgeries, and TTP Drugs and Alcohol in Deptford, London. I am a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and adhere to their Ethical Framework for the Counselling Professions (Membership Number: 00761457).

My therapeutic approach integrates evidence-based modalities aimed at helping clients achieve quicker results compared to traditional psychotherapy. Central to my work is assisting clients in identifying internal emotional conflicts that arise from unconscious avoidance strategies related to feelings and anxiety. These coping mechanisms often operate below the level of awareness, making it difficult for clients to recognize their responses to life's challenges. This lack of awareness can exacerbate their suffering, leading to increased anxiety, depression, and other symptoms.

Once these conflicts are identified, addressed, and resolved, clients can regain control over their lives, empowering them to pursue their dreams and enhance their relationships with themselves and others.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a qualified counsellor at Level 4 Diploma in Therapetic Counselling by the CPACB and a member of the BACP.

I am currently undergoing further training in Intensive Short Term Dynamic Psychotherapy and also a training in Clinical Supervision.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Additional information

We will schedule our first session, which lasts between 2 to 3 hours. This initial session is crucial as I will gather information about why you are seeking therapy, allowing us to set goals and determine our approach to resolve the difficulties you have been experiencing. After the first session, we will have goals and defined tasks to accomplish the work.

From the second session onwards we aim at meeting for one hour, re-evaluating the progress every 6 sessions, to make possible adjustments to the process.

I offer online sessions via Zoom and in-person sessions in London at The Awareness Centre in Clapham.

This session is very important, so we c6 Sessions paid in advance reduces each session to £70.00
