About me

Hello and welcome!

My name is Vinata and I am a registered counsellor working with children, young people and adults. I also work for a youth charity which offers counselling services to young people aged 11-25.

Life is full of challenges and sometimes we need someone to turn to when we are stuck. It can be helpful to talk to someone who isn’t family or friend.

We have inner resources to heal, change and grow. Sometimes, we can silence our inner voice. I take the time to reconnect you to your inner voice, help you have deeper understanding of who you are, so that you can find your way forward.

At the heart of therapy lies collaboration and empathy. This is important for building trust and working through issues. I aim to understand what you are going through with unconditional acceptance.

My core model - Person Centred - places the client at the heart of the work. I use elements of Cognitive Behaviour Therapy and Psychodynamic Theory to analyse situations and look at the past where relevant.

As an experienced therapist, I am passionate about building your resilience, confidence and self-compassion. Whatever your age or circumstances, I offer a safe space where you can express yourself and your feelings without fear of judgement.

I hope to help you explore your feelings from a different perspective, especially if your finding it hard to make a decision.

I currently offer counselling by phone or video call. The first initial consultation is free for half an hour. This gives you the opportunity to see how I work. We can then arrange sessions weekly, or fortnightly at a pace suited to you.
