About me
Feeling anxious, overwhelmed, or stuck in your thoughts?
I am a person-centred counsellor, supporting people who are struggling with anxiety, overthinking, and emotional overwhelm to feel more in control, more at ease, and better able to cope.
You may find yourself constantly caring for others while neglecting your own needs, feeling exhausted, or unsure how to make sense of what you are going through. I offer a warm, empathetic space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings without judgment.
As a person-centred counsellor, I believe in the importance of meeting you where you are. Our sessions are guided by your experiences and needs, allowing you to set the pace and focus. Alongside this, I may also draw on CBT-informed approaches where appropriate, offering practical tools to support you, particularly when working with anxiety and low mood.
Specialist Areas
I have a particular interest and experience in supporting individuals through:
- Perinatal mental health, including pregnancy and postnatal challenges
- Menopause, peri-menopause, and midlife transitions
- Anxiety and depression
- Grief and loss, including miscarriage, stillbirth, and baby loss
- Neurodiversity, including autism and ADHD.
In my work with neurodiverse clients, I understand the importance of adapting the therapeutic approach to meet unique communication styles and sensory needs. This includes using clear, concrete language, allowing additional processing time, and creating a sensory-friendly environment. My goal is to provide a space where you feel understood and accepted.
How I Work
Our sessions are collaborative and centred around what matters most to you. Whether you are navigating a life transition, coping with loss, or trying to make sense of your thoughts and feelings, I am here to support you.
People often describe feeling lighter and more able to cope as therapy progresses, with a growing sense of self-understanding and confidence in their own way forward.
Getting Started
I offer a free 20-minute consultation to discuss how we might work together. This gives you an opportunity to ask questions and see if I'm the right fit for you. Sessions are available in person in Bolton, as well as online or by phone.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

You do not need to prepare or know what to say. We start wherever you are, and move at a pace that suits you. Our conversations are practical and reflective, supporting small, real-life shifts between sessions.
If in-person appointments are not accessible or convenient, online or telephone sessions are available. The building access includes stairs; please let me know of any access needs, and I will do my best to accommodate.
I work respectfully and inclusively, in line with the BACP Ethical Framework. Confidentiality, privacy, and your autonomy are central to how I practise.
