About me
I am an HCPC-registered Clinical Psychologist with over 20 years of working with people with mental health problems. I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
I work with all ages, from young children to older adults.
I treat depression, anxiety, OCD, PTSD, GAD, phobias, trauma and sleep problems among other problems.
I work online and have found this to be as effective as face-to-face work while providing flexibility for my clients.
Training, qualifications & experience
- MA in Psychology (University of Glasgow, 2004)
- MSc in Psychological Therapies in Primary Care (Universities of Stirling and Dundee, 2006)
- DClinPsy Doctorate in Psychology (University of Glasgow, 2011)
I have worked for over 20 years in mental health, starting as a Clinical Associate in Primary Care doing my Masters, to completing the Doctorate in 2011 and moving into NHS roles as a Clinical Psychologist in CAMHS (Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services) and Principal Clinical Psychologist in LD (Learning Disabilities) while holding a 'sleep expert' status with online sleep treatment programme Sleepio. From here I built up my private practice and now enjoy working with all ages using a range of treatment modalities designed to suit each individual client.
I have recently trained in coaching using psychological theories and practices, designed to get people back on track in a shorter time frame that therapy often takes.
Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.
They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.
Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.
