About me

I am an integrative counsellor offering a warm, compassionate, and non-judgemental space where clients can explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences safely and openly. I understand that reaching out for support can feel daunting, and I aim to create a welcoming environment where you feel heard, respected, and accepted.

I work collaboratively with individuals aged 16 and over, as well as couples, tailoring my approach to meet each client’s unique needs and circumstances. Therapy is not a one-size-fits-all process, and I believe that meaningful change happens when we work together at a pace that feels right for you. While I respect and value your autonomy throughout the therapeutic process, I can also offer guidance and gentle challenge when this is helpful, agreed upon, and aligned with your therapeutic goals.

I support clients experiencing a range of difficulties, including anxiety, depression, stress, low self-esteem, relationship challenges, bereavement and loss, trauma, life transitions, emotional overwhelm, and difficulties relating to identity and personal growth. I also work with young people aged 16 and over, providing age-appropriate support in navigating the challenges they may be facing.

My approach is rooted in empathy, collaboration, and authenticity. I draw upon different therapeutic models within an integrative framework to provide support that is responsive to your individual experiences and goals. Whether you are seeking short-term support for a specific issue or longer-term therapeutic work, I am committed to walking alongside you as you work towards greater understanding, resilience, and positive change.

I offer sessions in English, both online and face-to-face.

Training, qualifications & experience

I hold a CPCAB Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling, a nationally recognised qualification accredited by the Counselling & Psychotherapy Central Awarding Body (CPCAB). I completed my training with Counselling Matters Bexley, where I continue to work part-time, supporting clients within a professional counselling setting.

Alongside my part-time role, I remain committed to providing accessible therapeutic support through ongoing voluntary counselling work, supporting clients presenting with a range of emotional and psychological difficulties. This continued practice enables me to further develop my skills and maintain an active engagement within the counselling profession.

In addition to my counselling qualification, I hold a Postgraduate Certificate in Business Psychology (Pass with Merit) from the University of East London and a Bachelor of Science (BSc Hons) degree in Business Studies from the University of Ulster. These qualifications have enhanced my understanding of human behaviour, relationships, motivation and wellbeing within wider social contexts.

I am a registered member of both the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (NCPS), and I adhere to their ethical frameworks and professional standards.

I have undertaken additional training in safeguarding, suicide and self-harm awareness, trauma-informed practice, bereavement support, and working therapeutically with young people. I am committed to ongoing professional development to ensure my practice remains current, reflective and responsive to the diverse needs of the individuals and couples I support.

As an integrative counsellor, I draw upon a range of therapeutic approaches to tailor my work to each client’s unique circumstances, helping them to explore their experiences, develop insight and work towards meaningful and lasting change.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
