About me

Thank you for taking the time to read, and a very warm welcome to you. I currently have limited availability and am accepting new clients, so please do reach out if you would like to know more.

You do not have to face things alone - we can work through this together. I believe Mental Health is as important as Physical Health. This can support you to gain clarity and self-awareness and foster personal growth at your own pace. We can work it out together if you wish for a non-judgmental, safe place to talk, or are looking for something in your life to change, or are having a crisis.

It takes courage to reach out for support and admit to yourself that you are struggling. It goes against the need to cope and crack on with the societal expectations we are shown within our relationships and the media.  We all need a helping hand from time to time, and I would really like to be your helping hand.

Clients seek me for support with a range of issues:-

  • Addiction.
  • Anxiety, panic or stress.
  • Bereavement / Loss, including living loss, estrangement.
  • Depression and low mood.
  • Disorders welcome.... OCD, BPD, Hoarding, ASD...
  • Disordered eating and feelings around this.
  • Family-related Issues and all types of Relationships.
  • Illness and disabilities, new or long-term, including carers.
  • Neurodivergence - Autism, ADHD etc. Self-identifying and diagnosis.
  • Self-harm struggles.
  • Stressful life events and transitions.
  • Trauma and how it feels for you.

Therapy is all about you. Through my experience as a client, I appreciated the flexibility of available options regarding accessing counselling, and this felt important for me to offer this within my own practice, The Therapeutic Camper.

  • In-person in the Pod, a bespoke place designed for therapy in Wolston, Warwickshire. CV8
  • Telephone or video via teams.
  • Low cost, affordable email - type it at a time and space that suits you, no appointments, pressure or video calls.
  • Walk and talk in Wolston, CV8.
  • Registered therapy dog option if booking in person in the Pod.

I'm wondering how this sounds to you....

Thank you for taking the time to read my words, and if you feel you would like to contact me, I would love to hear from you and be your helping hand. My clients sometimes share how they feel lighter afterwards; their load does not feel quite so heavy, sometimes they gain clarity about a particular aspect of their life, and look at something they wish to change.

We all need a helping hand from time to time. Take care of yourself.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
