About me

A very warm welcome to you and thank you for reading my profile. Are you feeling overwhelmed? Exhausted? Life just feels too much? Life can be overwhelming and exceptionally hard at times. It can sometimes feel like our brain is not our friend.

It is brave to ask for help when you are struggling and I would like to be your helping hand. I cannot promise to fix things for you, however, I can listen and give you a warm, therapeutic, non-judgemental space where you can hear yourself which is surprisingly powerful.

Therapy is all about you. With my own counselling, I appreciated the flexibility of available options regarding accessing counselling, and can offer you the below:-

  • In-person in the Pod, a bespoke place designed for therapy in Wolston CV8
  • Telephone or video via teams.
  • Email - type it at a time and space that suits you.
  • Walk and talk in Wolston.

What works best for you?

Please do feel free to book a session, however, you are also welcome to a no obligation 15 minute chat to see if it feels right for you, or to visit the Pod and see how you feel, we can arrange this so please do contact me, leave me a voicemail or book using the online booking.

Thank you for reading my words and if you feel drawn to contact me, I would love to hear from you and be your helping hand. We all need a helping hand from time to time and today is your turn. Take care of yourself.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a qualified and registered BACP Counsellor (BACP Membership No: 407750) and followed the appropriate four years BACP training to achieve this. I counsel adults and young people over 11 years old.

I am a former Childline Volunteer and School Counsellor, and have additional training with neurodivergence including lived family experience, (autism / ADHD etc), disordered eating, self harm (which can include addictions) through my own development and through Childline, Secondary School and New Hope Counselling where I volunteer also.

I also continued to study with my L5 in psychotherapeutic counselling.

I also have a Canine Concern registered therapy dog. A cocker spaniel, who can be included in sessions at the clients' request.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
