About me

THE WHOLE STORY APPROACH

I lead with a relational way of working that ensures every part of your journey from your heritage and faith to your professional life is seen and valued. I am a BACP Accredited Psychotherapist and Counsellor with over 10 years of experience, shaped by a life lived across cultures. As a British-born woman and a Muslim revert, my practice is deeply rooted in understanding the delicate balance of identity, belonging, and faith.

Having lived and worked in Qatar for six years within a diverse international community, I bring a global, nuanced perspective to my relational work. I understand the unique beauty and the complex tensions of mixed-heritage families and the journey of navigating different worldviews while staying true to one's values.

My approach is warm, professional, and spiritually sensitive. Whether you are navigating the pressures of leadership and burnout or exploring personal questions of heritage and identity, I provide a space where all parts of you your faith, your history, and your professional ambitions are held with respect.

I welcome you to reach out for an initial conversation to see how we can work together.

Registered / Accredited

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Online Therapy Details
As a UK-based therapist with a senior background in wellbeing leadership, I provide a secure, high-standard online practice for clients worldwide. I utilise a GDPR-compliant, browser-based video platform that requires no downloads, ensuring absolute confidentiality and ease of use.

My approach bridges clinical excellence, offering a flexible and expert space for healing, whether you are in the UK or navigating life overseas.

The Setting
I provide a secure, high-standard online practice using a GDPR-compliant, browser-based video platform. My background in wellbeing leadership ensures a clinically excellent and confidential space, tailored to the unique complexities of living and working across borders.

Practice Description
Focusing on Identity and High-Pressure Transitions

My clinical work is centered on navigating the intersections of identity, heritage, and the "between worlds" experience. I specialise in supporting those who feel the weight of community expectations, dual-heritage family dynamics, or the "shape-shifting" often required in multicultural environments. My goal is to help you move beyond merely managing symptoms toward a restored sense of self.

The Practitioner Stance
Gestalt and Existentialism I work through Gestalt and Existential perspectives, which means we prioritise your "here-and-now" experience. Rather than getting lost in the "why" of the past, we focus on:

Personal Agency: Exploring your capacity to make authentic choices in the face of life's uncertainties.

Relational Presence: Building a space where you no longer have to 'edit' or 'translate' your identity to be understood.

Meaning-Making: Addressing the deep-seated exhaustion of burnout or grief by rediscovering purpose.

Senior Clinical Experience
This work is supported my experience in lead clinical positions. As a BACP Accredited Psychotherapist, I bridge high-level leadership insight with a gentle, trauma-informed approach. I offer a space where faith traditions and diverse worldviews are respected as the foundation of your resilience.
