About me

Hello - my name is Tyler and I am a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and an Associate at Lifetime Therapy, which is a private practice based in Cornwall.

I also work as a Group Facilitator at Gladstones Clinic, a Private Rehabilitation Centre, where I specialise in working with clients with a wide range of addictions.

I grew up in London in a bustling, multicultural and diverse area which has really shaped me to the open-hearted, accepting and welcoming person and practitioner that you’ll experience when working with me as your counsellor.

My mum was a Psychotherapist and I was therefore exposed to the beauty of therapy and the possibilities of change.

I’m passionate around working on a one to one level, working online via Teams or Zoom, or indeed, supporting clients in any areas of their lives that they feel could be working better for them, whether it’s relationships, work, loss, stress, or struggles with mood and engagement in their daily lives.

As a person-centred therapist with an interest in the pluralistic approach (after Prof. Mick Cooper), I am focused on my clients as individuals and will walk your path beside you with empathy and lack of judgement, bringing some gentle challenge where it could be beneficial and tailoring my approach based on the person I have in front of me.

I will work at your pace and engage with what you need from therapy, giving you the space and support you need to tackle the things that might have been holding you back or causing you issue.

I’m a married, family man with three children ranging from their thirties to under five! I’ve seen a lot of life and I feel privileged to be living as a Therapist and supporting others.

I look forward to supporting you.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
