About me

Hi, my name is Elizabeth. I offer integrative counselling, hypnotherapy and creative counselling approaches to adults who experience challenges in life. I am from Hong Kong and have been in the UK for almost 5 years. I was a social worker in my hometown for over 10 years, providing creative therapeutic services (group and individual) for my clients who experienced mental health issues, addictions, HIV positive, traumas and Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). I am now supporting adults and people from different cultural backgrounds.

You have a say:

I provide not only a warm, non-judgmental space for you to explore yourself and to be listened to, but also an integrative approach and down-to-earth counselling plan in your therapeutic journey. It means that I can use more than one approach, whichever fits your needs in our session. The use of different approaches will also be discussed with you, along with our therapeutic direction and goal-setting.

I also offer 1-1 or group art workshops for people who would like to try something different. Workshops may be conducted in-person if required.

Me as a therapist:

My clients describe me as patient, understanding, empathetic, knowledgeable, insightful, creative, a good listener and a good observer. I specialise in these areas:

  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Anger management
  • Traumas
  • Addictions
  • Interpersonal skills
  • Stress management
  • Grief and loss

If you think we could work well together, please reach out through my email, text or WhatsApp me on my number. I offer 15 minutes free consultation by appointment. Please note that phone calls will only be taken after reservation.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

In the case of emergencies, such as urgent medical appointments, I ask that you inform me as soon as possible, ideally at least two hours before the session, although this may be flexible depending on the circumstances.

Sessions may be rearranged in such cases without an additional session fee; however, for face-to-face sessions, room hire costs may still apply. If there are frequent emergency rearrangements, we may review whether the service continues to meet your needs.
