About me

Person-Centred Counselling Online

Have you been experiencing challenges that are negatively impacting your mental health?

Have you found it difficult to open up to friends, family, partners or colleagues for fear of being judged or misunderstood, leaving you unseen and unheard?

Counselling provides a supportive, inclusive and affirmative relationship to share the issues that matter to you, at your own pace and in your own way.

Online counselling is a convenient way for you to access therapy from a place of your choosing.

Common issues I work with

Together we can look at a range of issues that might be affecting you such as:

  • Anxiety, depression/low mood
  • Addictions/unwanted or compulsive behaviours behaviours
  • Trauma/abuse
  • Work pressures including burnout
  • Family challenges
  • Bereavement/loss
  • Gender, transitioning
  • Sexual desire, sexual issues
  • Sexuality
  • Relationships including communication, boundaries, endings, opening up, polyamory.
  • LGBTQ+ affirmative
  • ADHD/Autism
  • Neuro-difference
  • Any other issues that are impacting your life right now.

What I can offer you

I'm a person-centred counsellor. I'm here to offer you a space to be yourself. An opportunity for you to think, feel, sense and share what's happening in your world.

Do you ever have that experience of wishing you could say what was really going on but holding back?

Do you push down your own feelings and needs, offer a 'smile' or an 'I'm fine' when really you want to let it all out and take up some space?

We can do that together. You can be real, honest, expressive and however else you need to be.

Session length, frequency, cost and concessions

I offer sessions on a weekly basis and a 50 minute session is £60.

I have a small number of concessionary places available for people on benefits and under 25s. Please ask about this if this applies to you.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
