About me
I offer an integrative form of counselling, meaning the type of counselling offered is dependent on each individual person and what they require to ensure their specific needs are met, combining different approaches that bring together different elements of specific therapies. This is a talking therapy, supporting clients in exploring a wide range of different things and gaining deeper understanding of what they are experiencing, the impact it's having and what to do next.
I work with a range of issues, from depression, anxiety, relationship issues, grief and loss, fears, phobias, and many others. Whether you are dealing with acute daily stress or an event which is making you reevaluate things, the therapy I offer may be of use in helping support you and help develop your understanding of how to move forward to where you would like to be.
You may be unsure about why you feel you need or want to see a counsellor, sometimes feelings of sadness or restlessness may be the catalyst for looking for somebody to talk to and who will listen without judgement and support you in reflecting on what is happening presently.
I understand that the therapeutic relationship is vital for successful therapy to take place, so an optional consultation is available to ensure we are both happy to be contracted as counsellor and client and understand all that entails - or there is an option to go straight ahead with starting the counselling immediately.
I would be very happy to discuss any further questions over the telephone or by email.
Training, qualifications & experience
I trained first as a Hypnotherapist, incorporating it into counselling if required. I have an Advanced Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling and have experience counselling at Swindon Carers - offering counselling services to people who are carers for either family members, friends or partners.
I am an Accredited Registrant member of the National Counselling Society and National Hypnotherapy Society.
