Sharon Baker MBACP. CTA(P)

I am a qualified psychotherapist. Among the issues I work with are bereavement, relationship issues, stress, anxiety, depression, confidence building, the relationship between food, exercise, weight and body size or shape and coming to terms with a long or chronic illness. Everyone can face challenges and difficulties in life sometimes. I can provide a safe space for you to talk through your difficulties, explore your feelings and help you cope.

Charlene Robinson BA PGCert PGDip MA

I support and empower women to live the life they most want to live using counselling and psychotherapy.

It may be that past trauma is affecting your present, your relationships feel unhealthy, you are always putting on a brave face or that you want to understand yourself better. Therapy is a great way to maintain good mental health.

For 20+ years I have worked exclusively in the supportive professions providing mental health and drug and alcohol support within the NHS, voluntary organisations and charities.  I have experience facilitating a women’s group and as a counsellor at a Women’s Centre.

I am in advanced clinical training at the Berne Institute

Anjali Puri CTA(P), PTSTA

I believe in the capacity of every person to live authentically and wholeheartedly and be true to who they are. Everyone goes through difficult periods where life seems to go off the rails, and sometimes we need a bit of help to find our balance again. Counselling and psychotherapy help us process uncomfortable or painful experiences, and they can also put us more deeply in touch with who we are, enabling us to live a richer, fuller life.

I use a flexible, empathic approach that is tailored to what my clients need, creating an open, transparent and supportive environment where I work in partnership with my clients towards agreed goals. I see psychotherapy as a process of finding and celebrating the unique spirit of every individual.

I have a BA (Hons) degree in psychology and a Diploma in Transactional Analysis Counselling, with experience in working with depression, anxiety, relationship problems, workplace challenges and trauma. I work with individuals as well as couples. I usually offer face to face sessions in London, and see clients online if they are based elsewhere.

I offer a free 30 minute initial consultation and am also offering reduced rates to people whose income has been impacted by the pandemic.

Sarah Clowes Barron.

My name is Sarah, I am currently in my final year of advanced TA psychotherapy training. Psychotherapy offers a safe space for individuals to explore their own histories and overcome life's challenges. I am experienced in 1:1 and group therapy both offering a unique experience and opportunity to grow. I work with the therapeutic relationship to help people realise their full potential, process losses and begin to live free from repeated destructive behaviours. I meet people from all different backgrounds and take pride in adapting to the diverse needs of the individual.

I have a history in caring for special needs children, this is where my career and passion for therapy began, since then I have had numerous support roles. I have worked in the criminal justice system since 2011 and specialise in treatment of addiction not only to substances but behavioural addiction too. I am trauma informed and have a sound understanding of mental illness. My interests are codependency, symptoms of trauma, spirituality, anger, fear and shame.

I am based in the St. Albans area of Hertfordshire, currently all my sessions are held remotely via Zoom or telephone making access to therapy easier for many people. However, if you would prefer face to face counselling please take my location into account. I offer a free initial session offering you the chance to see if I am the right person for you.

Member organisations *

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
