About me
Hello and a warm welcome,
I'm Suzie, a compassionate and experienced person-centred counsellor, providing online therapy. My approach is rooted in person-centred therapy, but I also draw from a range of therapeutic modalities to best support your unique needs. I offer a safe and confidential online space where you can explore your thoughts and emotions at your own pace.
I understand that reaching out for counselling takes courage and I deeply respect each person’s journey. My aim is to create a warm, supportive and non-judgmental environment where you feel truly heard and valued. Every session is tailored to you, using approaches that help you express yourself and navigate life’s challenges in a way that feels right for you.
I have a particular interest in working with trauma and understand the importance of safety, stabilisation and building trust within the therapeutic relationship. I recognise that trauma can impact both the mind and body, and I work gently to support you to move at a pace that feels manageable. Creating a sense of emotional safety is central to my work, helping clients feel more connected, resourced and supported throughout the therapeutic process.
Alongside my person-centred foundation, I am informed by Internal Family Systems (IFS) and incorporate somatic awareness into my practice. This may include gently exploring parts of self and felt sensations within the body, helping clients to develop a greater awareness of their emotional experiences and nervous system responses. I aim to support clients in deepening self-understanding, self-compassion and connection with themselves.
I firmly believe that the relationship between counsellor and client is at the heart of effective therapy, so I focus on building trust and understanding from the very first session.
I know reaching out can feel like a big step and I want to make it as comfortable as possible. If you’re curious about counselling or wondering if I might be the right fit for you, I’d be happy to offer a free 30-minute consultation. This gives us a chance to meet, talk about what you're looking for and see how we might work together.
My experience spans a range of professional settings, including charities, educational settings, private practice, and supporting survivors of rape and sexual abuse. This has given me a broad understanding of the many challenges people may face, whatever you may be going through, I’m here to support you in a way that feels safe and

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
