About me
Are you feeling overwhelmed, unsure of your life direction and feeling in need of some support?
Maybe you have gone through a recent bereavement, a personal loss or coming to terms with a change in circumstances.
Sometimes it is difficult moving forward when you are still dealing with unresolved traumas and events that might have happened in your life – it often helps to unpack those intrusive thoughts in a neutral calm confidential space.
Hi, I’m Suzanne a qualified BACP Humanistic Integrative Counsellor. This means I work from a Person-Centred modality, but I may bring other therapeutic integrations into our sessions. This is to help you explore, talk and reflect on your problems and issues that you may bring into the therapy sessions.
I am here to support you in a calm, caring manner. I am here to listen and offer you a safe, confidential space for you to explore your thoughts and feelings. To help you identify repeat patterns and behaviours that may be unhelpful.
It can be scary opening up and talking about issues and problems that may be troubling you. This is why it is important to find someone who is non-judgemental and empathic to your needs. Counselling offers this facility, finding the right counsellor for you is the key.
I can offer Face to Face, Online and Telephone counselling, whichever you prefer on a short or long-term basis.
I can help in many areas such as personal problems, grief & loss of a loved one, narcissistic relationships & domestic abuse, depression, anxiety, life traumas, loss of identity through job loss, changes in midlife, experiences and feelings of not being able to cope.
I work with men and women over the age of 18 years. I understand it can feel very daunting to speak about some situations such as physical or mental abuse, whether past or recent situations it can happen to anyone. Accepting you are not to blame is a huge factor in self-healing. Taking that first step to seeking help is such an important step and undoubtedly takes strength and courage.
I have also trained with ‘Petals’ for Baby Loss, a loss many parents sadly have to deal with and can impact the whole family for many many years.
Next Steps
I offer a free initial phone consultation where you can ask me any questions and we can get to know each other before deciding if you would like to work with me.
Should you decide to go ahead I will send you a contract and my ethical working policies for you to check through.
Thank you for reading my profile. If you feel I may be able to help you, then please get in touch.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
