About me

Hello, I’m Suzanne, a psychotherapist offering online therapy to adults across the UK.

Whether you’re experiencing anxiety, living with the effects of trauma, navigating the emotional impact of menopause, or facing another significant life transition, therapy can provide a space to better understand what you’re going through and find a way forward.

Many of the people I work with feel overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, stuck, or disconnected from themselves. They may struggle with anxiety, low mood, loss of confidence, relationship difficulties, or a sense that life no longer feels like it once did. Whatever has brought you here, you don’t have to face it alone.

I have a particular interest in supporting women through the menopause transition. Alongside my clinical work, I am completing my Doctorate in Counselling Psychology and have undertaken research exploring women’s psychological experiences of menopause. I understand how hormonal changes can affect identity, relationships, emotional wellbeing and day-to-day life, and I offer a compassionate, non-judgemental space to explore these experiences together.

I also have extensive experience supporting people living with the effects of trauma. Over the past seven years, I have worked across a range of NHS and private mental health services, including older adults, perinatal mental health, clinical health psychology and children’s mental health. I am trained in trauma-informed CBT and have worked with a wide range of trauma presentations, helping people make sense of difficult experiences and their lasting impact.

My approach is integrative and relational, meaning I tailor therapy to your individual needs rather than following a one-size-fits-all model. I draw on attachment theory and psychodynamic thinking to deepen understanding of patterns and relationships, while incorporating evidence-based approaches such as Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and CBT where these are helpful. This allows us to combine meaningful exploration with practical strategies that support lasting change.

I believe the relationship between therapist and client is central to effective therapy. I aim to offer a warm, honest and collaborative space where you feel heard, understood and accepted, with the freedom to explore your experiences at a pace that feels right for you.

I work online, allowing me to support clients across the UK. Whether you’re struggling with anxiety, trauma, menopause or another difficult chapter in your life, we can work together to help you understand your experiences, reconnect with your strengths and move towards a life that feels more manageable and meaningful.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
