About me

As an integrative counsellor, I put the emphasis on our working together, collaboratively exploring what you want from your therapy time.
The advantage of working this way is that therapy is flexible and tailored specifically to you and your needs. We can use tools from different therapy approaches to find the best fit for you - I use your feedback to help us make these choices.

Listening to you with compassion, hearing the person behind the low mood, anxiety, depression or any other label you may have been offered, is at the heart of my practice.

At Hart Therapy I offer brief therapy, between 1 and 10 sessions, as well as longer-term therapy. Each session is 50-60 minutes in length.

I work with adults face-to-face from my comfortable therapy practice room in Sheffield 10, or online via zoom or by telephone. I also offer Walk and Talk Therapy.

Contact me for a free 20 minute call to ask questions and to help you decide if I am the right therapist for you.

Please note: please do get in touch for more information or to request that I contact you when appointments become available.

Training, qualifications & experience

  • Professional Diploma in Integrative Counselling & Psychotherapy (Acadamy SPACE, Sheffield)
  • Post Grad Certificate in Autism (Sheffield Hallam University)
  • Dip. Education (Post 16) (Sheffield Hallam University)

As well as working in private practice, I am a Bereavement Volunteer at Cruse Bereavement Care, a buddy through Cavendish Cancer Care and a volunteer counsellor and trauma informed therapist at Vida Sheffield (an organisation working with women survivors of domestic and sexual abuse).

As a mature person with a working hIstory, I have many roles where supporting people is at the centre of what I do. In a mentoring role working with those who identify as having neurodivergent ways of being/thinking (including dyslexia, dyspraxia, ADHD and Autism), I have supported people through difficult periods of life and mental ill health. Life and work stress sometimes increase levels of anxiety and talking to a counsellor in a safe therapy space can assist you in untangling things to make sense of life once again.

Further information

I work face-to-face from my comfortable therapy practice room in Sheffield 10, close to public transport (bus).

For some people, in particular where social anxiety is overwhelming, connecting with a counsellor from their own home means they can access therapy. I work online using zoom and will be happy to assist in getting set up and started with zoom if this way of working is new to you.

If telephone is your preferred way of connecting, again I am happy to use this as a way to offer you therapy.

Lastly, I offer Walk & Talk therapy - moving together through local outdoor spaces whilst offering therapy can help
