About me

I am a qualified individual and couples counsellor, registered with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (NCPS). With over five years of counselling experience, I have supported individuals and couples facing a wide range of emotional, relational, and life challenges.

My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and person-centered, recognising that every client's experiences and needs are unique. I work integratively, drawing on Humanistic, Gestalt, and Systemic approaches to tailor therapy to each individual or couple. While I believe clients are the experts in their own lives, I may gently offer challenge and use present-moment awareness to encourage insight, self-awareness, and meaningful personal growth where appropriate.

I work holistically, considering the whole person rather than focusing solely on symptoms. Together, we may explore how your thoughts, emotions, relationships, past experiences, and wider social context influence your well-being. I am mindful of how factors such as culture, race, ethnicity, age, gender, sexuality, faith, disability, and neurodiversity can shape identity, relationships, and lived experience.

Above all, I strive to provide a warm, respectful, and non-judgmental therapeutic space where you can feel safe to explore your inner world, develop greater self-understanding, and work towards the changes that matter most to you.

The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
