About me

I am a fully accredited counsellor with the NCPS. and a full BACP member. I offer one to one counselling online via  ZOOM/ and FACE TO FACE and via the TELEPHONE and WALK AND TALK THERAPY in the  (outdoors) RADCLIFFE/PRESTWICH/BURY areas- I have a passion for supporting those who may have gone through the mental health system- having spent a number of years working across NORTHWEST MANCHESTER in mainly acute services.  I also have  experience of working with low mood.(depression) anxiety. sexual trauma. various  kinds of loss/grief  - as a therapist I believe all parts of a person are important and should be explored in counselling eg BODY WORK which is just as important as emotions/ feelings especially  as trauma is mainly held in the BODY.  My counselling sessions are NOT rushed and YOUR needs are my focus as we seek to use counselling as a process to help YOU address what is important to YOU - I had counselling myself when I  was in my twenties for about a year ( before I  was a COUNSELLOR)- so I  know first hand how difficult it can be opening up to a stranger about a vulnerable issue. having been through the process myself - I know it can make a lasting difference I am still using the tools counselling gave me to make more choices in line with my values. I wanted to be honest in sharing "my  lived  experience" to show that with the right support you can make it through your present difficulties just as I did. I have also just added WALK and TALK THERAPY to my way of working using the outdoors especially for those who may find counselling sessions online or in an office challenging or anxiety provoking.

People I  work with  - young people/ Adults, older Adults,  also individuals that Identify as being part of the LGBTQ+ community are most welcome.
