About me
I specialise particularly in anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, self-esteem, relationship difficulties, childhood issues and boarding school issues, abuse and complex bereavement. I also have years of experience in the corporate sector, mainly in law and finance, and treat stress, work issues and burnout.
I am a fully qualified Psychodynamic Psychotherapist - I undertook my training at Oxford University, reading a Masters in Psychodynamic Practice.
My approach focuses on helping you explore the challenges you’re currently facing or have encountered in the past. Together, we’ll work to make sense of these experiences and process any painful or difficult emotions.
My training was Psychodynamic - just one of the many theoretical frameworks available for therapists - and over time I have built upon this framework with experience of other schools of thought. Working in a psychodynamic way simply means that we will explore how your present feelings or symptoms may be influenced by past experiences. Quite quickly we’ll uncover and connect patterns of thought or behaviour that may have previously been hidden or unexamined. Shedding light on these feelings and experiences opens up the possibility of gaining clarity, allowing you to break free of repetitive cycles and moving past feeling ‘stuck’ or ‘lost’. Above all, I focus on pragmatic approaches to change that will aid you in your personal growth.
The aim can only be, and always is, to put you at the heart of our sessions. We will work to get to the root of the issues you’re experiencing to create lasting, meaningful change.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
