Reg BACP Counsellor, ADHD, Anxiety Depression Relationships

About me

Are you overwhelmed by anxiety, sadness, stuck in burnout or struggling with a frantic mind?

Sometimes talk therapy alone isn't enough. When emotions take over, they impact our bodies in the form of nervous tension and exhaustion.

I'm Stephanie and I'm a qualified Integrative Counsellor working from a private, peaceful homely room in rural South Godstone. Alongside my core training, I hold a Level 3 Breathwork Coaching qualification and am a 200 hr qualified Yoga Teacher keen on Restorative Yoga. By weaving somatic tools, CBT and creative media into my integrative practice, I work with the mind and the body.

ADHD-Affirming Strategy Work

Proven CBT strategies are used help you understand your ADHD, equip you with effective tools and strategies to improve the quality of your life. A practical, non-judgemental approach to building bespoke lifestyle systems that support focus, manage energy and bring self-compassion.

Working with Recovery from Abusive or Narcissistic (NPD) Relationships

Enabling you to understand the dynamics of NPD and abusive relationships, strengthen your boundaries and restore your self-esteem and and learn and love who you truly are.

Somatic Tools for Anxiety

Using a blend of counselling modalities (CBT, person-centred and psychodynamic), breathwork and restorative yoga (non-contact), you will learn to quieten your 'fight or flight' nervous system, learn your triggers and challenge thinking patterns to diminish the effect of anxiety on your life to restore peace, sleep and ability to function.

Working Creatively

Through pictures, drawing and fairy tales we can reflect together giving you greater clarity and insight . This is an effective way to access and articulate deep-rooted feelings to see situations through a different lens.

About Me

I have practiced on and off since qualifying in 2008 and also successfully held leadership positions where I have enabled a diverse range of people to flourish.

I hold a Diploma in Integrative Therapeutic Counselling and am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). Since 2008, I've had the privilege of walking alongside adults through their therapeutic journeys, helping them navigate life's challenges and discover their inner strengths.

I have a Level 3 Breathwork Coaching qualification and 200 hrs Yoga Teacher Training.

My approach is truly integrative – I draw from psychodynamic, humanistic, and CBT therapeutic modalities enriched through understanding yogic philosophy. In addition, a blend of these woven together (sometimes through creative approaches)  to work with you to enable you to achieve your goals. Rather than following a one-size-fits-all approach, I work collaboratively with you to find the therapeutic style that resonates most deeply and equips you to sustain lasting, meaningful change.

I am committed to creating a safe, affirming therapeutic space for all clients. I welcome and respect individuals regardless of race, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, ability, religion, socioeconomic status, or cultural background. I recognize that each person brings unique experiences that enrich our work together. My practice is grounded in cultural humility, and I strive to provide culturally responsive care that honours your individual needs and circumstances. Everyone deserves compassionate, non-judgmental support on their healing journey.

My practice is built on the belief that everyone has the capacity for growth and healing. I create a warm, non-judgmental space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings safely, gain new perspectives, and develop the tools and practical strategies to help you enjoy life more.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
