About me
Life can feel overwhelming sometimes - whether this is because of big life events, day to day challenges, or something linked to earlier experiences. Therapy can be a way to explore this together in a collaborative way. I am dedicated to helping people make sense of their experiences in a safe and nurturing space. I believe that each person's experience is unique and therefore my approach is based on building a strong therapeutic connection steeped in empathy, curiosity and a non-judgmental stance.
I work from an integrative approach, which means I tailor sessions to meet your needs and draw of a range of therapies to do so. I specialise in supporting individuals of all ages navigating complex challenges, including trauma, stress, anxiety, low mood, and relationship difficulties. I provide supervision for therapists and trainees, and offer consultancy to organisations.
Whether I am working with a young person or adult to explore their life experiences, a clinician looking for supervision, or a professional seeking consultation, my practice is rooted in respect, empathy and evidence.
Training, qualifications & experience
As a Counselling Psychologist, I offer an integrative approach to my work, drawing on models of therapy including Person Centred, Psychodynamic, Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), Cognitive Analytic Therapy (CAT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy (DDP). I am qualified in Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR). Drawing on extensive experience working therapeutically within the NHS in CAMHS and Adult Crisis Teams, charitable settings, and forensic services, I provide a grounded, evidenced based approach to psychological therapy.
I have lots of experience working with anxiety, relationship worries and dynamics, stress, depression and childhood difficulties across the lifespan.
My education background includes a BSc in Criminology with Psychology from the University of Portsmouth, a Masters (with Distinction) in Psychology from Kingston University, and a Doctorate in Counselling Psychology from the University of Roehampton. I have also completed the supervisory training (STAR) for Clinical Psychology Trainees (University of Coventry and Warwick).
Beyond direct therapy, I am experienced in providing professional consultation to broad systems supporting children and adults. This includes providing clinical insights and systemic support to educational institutions, nursing teams, the Youth Justice System, and Social Care departments, ensuring a cohesive and psychologically informed approach to supporting individuals at all life stages. I am skilled at holding space to help make sense of distress and behaviour, and supporting systems and professionals to implement changes that foster lasting safety and stability.
