About me

At some point, most of us face challenges that leave us feeling stuck, lost, or unsure of which way to turn. Deciding to start counselling is a big step, and I understand that choosing the right counsellor for you is an important decision. Below, I will explain a bit about my personal beliefs regarding counselling and the client/counsellor relationship:

I believe that counselling is a relational journey in which both the counsellor and client can relate to and learn from each other.

At the core of my approach is an opportunity for us to connect with honesty and openness, forming a relationship where we can make sense of what is happening for you, together. I view you as the expert of yourself, and we will work in a way that is suited to your unique needs.

Together, we can explore areas of your life that may be causing you difficulty or distress, working toward understanding the impact they may have on you and your life.

I come from an 'Integrative' background in counselling, which means that we will work in a way that is bespoke to you. You may wish to talk about areas of your past, or you may prefer to focus on the 'here and now,' with goals aimed at the future. Perhaps you'd like to explore a combination of both of these areas. I will always respect your hopes for counselling, and we will work in a way that aligns with your needs, helping you move toward greater fulfilment.

If you feel ready to reach out, please arrange a free 15-minute consultation. I’ll be happy to answer any questions you may have.
