About me
Are you finding motherhood harder than you expected?
Feeling overwhelmed, anxious, low in mood, or struggling to cope with the demands of everyday life? Perhaps you love your children deeply, but you’re exhausted, questioning yourself, or feeling like you’ve lost a little of who you used to be. You might feel under pressure to hold everything together, even when inside, you’re struggling.
Motherhood can bring so many changes, emotions and challenges, and it isn’t always easy to talk about how you’re really feeling. You may be experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, or the pressure of trying to be everything to everyone. Perhaps you feel guilty for struggling, or wonder why something that is supposed to be so rewarding can sometimes feel so difficult. Whatever you’re carrying, you don’t have to face it alone.
As well as an experienced therapist, I am also a mother who can relate to all of these experiences. My aim is offer a warm, compassionate and non-judgemental space where you can feel safe to be honest about what’s going on for you. You don’t need to have all the answers, find the right words, or pretend you’re coping when you’re not. Together, we can gently explore your feelings, understand what might be contributing to your struggles, and find ways to help you feel more like yourself again.
I believe therapy should be shaped around you, your experiences and what you need. There is no one-size-fits-all approach, and you don’t need to have everything figured out before you begin. I'm here to help you feel heard, understood and supported as we work together towards greater confidence, emotional balance and a more manageable day-to-day life.
Reaching out for support can feel daunting, especially if you’re used to putting everyone else first. You may be unsure whether therapy is right for you, or worry about being judged for how you feel.
I offer a free 20-minute consultation, giving us an opportunity to introduce ourselves, talk a little about what’s bringing you to therapy, and for me to explain how I work. There’s no pressure or expectation — just a chance to see whether working together feels right for you.
A gentle reminder: If you don’t include a telephone number with your enquiry, please check your email junk or spam folder for my reply, as it may occasionally end up there.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
