About me

Coming to therapy can feel like a big step, especially if you're carrying something you haven't felt able to say out loud before. I want this to be a space where you don't have to shrink yourself or leave parts of your life at the door.

I work with people going through a hard time at work, wrestling with questions of who they are, or navigating relationships that don't look like the ones we're told are "normal", including open relationships, polyamory, and kink. I also work with the everyday weight of anxiety, stress, and those unsettling in-between times when life feels like it's shifting under you.

I don't work from a script. Every person who sits with me is different, so how we work together adapts to what actually helps you, not a one-size-fits-all method. What stays the same is this: I want you to feel like you're being properly listened to, not just heard in passing.

Whatever's brought you here, you don't need to have it figured out before you reach out. If any of this feels like it speaks to you, I'd love to hear from you.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Relationship diversity & kink

I work with individuals across a range of relationship structures and experiences, including open relationships, polyamory, ethical non-monogamy, and kink. Whether you're exploring what any of this might look like for you, navigating jealousy or compersion, working through the practicalities of multiple relationships, or wanting a space to talk about kink without having to explain or justify it first, none of it needs a preamble here. Whatever's brought this into the room, it's welcome.

Further information

I offer both online and face-to-face sessions, so you can choose whichever feels more comfortable or practical for you. If you're not sure whether we'd be a good fit, I'm happy to arrange a short introductory conversation first, so you can get a feel for how I work as a counsellor before committing to anything.

There's no pressure to have everything figured out before you get in touch. Reaching out is often the hardest part, and it's completely okay to start with just a question.
