About me
Hi, I am Gina.
If you choose to meet me, I will accompany you on a journey of self-discovery, amazement and acceptance of life in all its diversity. You will be able to build skills to achieve the joy and connection human beings long for.
I offer you a safe space to explore difficult issues, to be listened to and to be heard, to become aware of thought and behaviour patterns that prevent you from being your healthiest self.
I connect to you as client relationally and in a co-creative way to involve you actively in the healing process of your therapy and counselling.
During the last 10 years, I have noticed the one thing that unites the people that I have worked with and have listened to – we all want to be loved, we all have love to give.
I am a neurodivergent person, who is fascinated by people and by the human condition. My early training was as a mathematician and then in statistics and economics. My work career began in business and international trade. In 2007, after my second marriage broke down, I decided to change direction, and took a degree in psychology. This led to a placement as a bereavement counselling volunteer with CRUSE Bristol in 2011, and then I met my first client in a counselling room in 2012.
Currently I work towards a certification as an Imago Relationship Therapist and as a Psychotherapist Transactional Analyst. These ways of work are close to my view of the world and my spirituality.
I keep the ethical codes of EATA, UKCP, UKATA, NCS and BACP alive in my practice.
My private practice is in Bristol, where I can meet you in person. I work online and offer sessions via Zoom.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
UKATA (formally the Institute of Transactional Analysis) is the national UK Transactional Analysis organisation representing all fields of TA theory and practice. TA can be used as an effective tool in a wide range of contexts such as: personal development, management, coaching, counselling, psychotherapy, teaching, education, parenting and more.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
