About me

I specialise in complex relational trauma. This type of trauma is usually multi-layered and experienced in childhood or adolescence, i.e. abusive relationships over a lengthy time period as opposed to a single traumatic incident. Trauma of this nature often manifests later in life as anxiety or addiction issues, low mood, disordered eating and body image issues, and difficulties in relationships and setting and maintaining healthy boundaries in adulthood.

My broad knowledge and experience could be of benefit if you've perhaps relayed your "story" to many professionals, but still can't get to the bottom of why you feel the way you do. Art Psychotherapy offers an alternative means if expression, often tapping in to our unconscious. It can be a helpful exploration of multiple complex issues such as family dynamics, early relationships and the challenging of long-held belief systems to understand what is holding you back in the present.

HCPC
Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)

The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.

They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.
