About me
Hi, I'm Sinead. I'm an Art Therapist with over 20 years' experience of helping children, young people and adults find alternative ways to express feelings of anxiety, anger, sadness/depression or loss so that these emotions are no longer holding them back in life.
Previous clients have said they've appreciated my open and often humorous approach to therapy, which has helped put them at ease.
Art Therapy (also known as Art Psychotherapy) can help you understand yourself better, get to the root of your problems and provide a safe way to express your emotions. It can be less intimidating than talking face to face about your struggles, and the best bit is you don't even have to be good at art!
The bulk of my experience is in working with clients who have experienced trauma in relationships. As a highly experienced NHS mental health professional I am skilled in working with:
- Trauma and abuse issues
- Anxiety
- Neurodiversity
- Family and relationship issues

They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.
