Supervision details
I have been working as an Art Therapist for nearly 20 years across the public and voluntary sector. Most of my experience is in NHS adult mental health services, although I also worked with children and young people in residential and foster care for 10 years.
The Generic Supervision Competencies certificate I gained in 2010 through NHS Scotland allows me to supervise trainee and practicing arts therapists, and I have supervised a large number of students during my career. I have also supervised, managed and developed a number of arts therapies professionals.
My post-qualifying training has focused on attachment and I gained the Level 1 Dyadic Developmental Attachment Psychotherapy in 2011.
I am trained in Mindfulness to Facilitator level and have been registered with National Education for Scotland since 2014.

The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.
They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.
Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.
