About me
Hi, I’m Sinead, an Integrative Psychotherapist offering relational therapy in Paddington, Victoria and online.
Psychotherapy helps you explore thoughts, feelings and patterns, creating space to reflect and understand what shapes your inner world and relationships. My integrative approach draws on different methods, tailored to your history, needs and what feels most supportive. I offer a warm, empathic and gently direct space for people seeking deeper self-understanding, renewed meaning, and greater clarity and confidence.
Training, qualifications & experience
I completed five years of training at the Centre for Counselling and Psychotherapy Education (CCPE). I hold a Post Graduate Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy.
Alongside my private practice, I’ve worked in a range of mental health settings, including a psychiatric placement at The Maudsley Hospital, London, bereavement counselling within a hospice, and charitable organisations offering low-cost therapy.
Before training as a psychotherapist, I spent over 20 years in senior management, running businesses and working within high-pressure corporate environments. This gives me a deep understanding of performance, burnout, identity, and the emotional cost of success.
My own long-term psychotherapy has had a profound impact on my life, and I believe therapy can offer a powerful space for healing, growth and reconnection.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Additional information
I offer a complementary 20 minute call to see if we are a good fit for each other. From here I progress to an assessment that lasts approx 1 hour and costs £85.
Further information
I work with a wide range of issues but have a specific interest in neurodiversity, bereavement and in supporting women during menopause. I have a particular interest in how menopause impacts neurodivergent women.
I offer short-term counselling, with a minimum commitment of 6 sessions. This way of working is often how people begin therapy and is focused on specific concerns or goals.
I also offer long-term, open-ended psychotherapy for those who want to explore deeper or long-standing issues. This way of working allows for a slower, more reflective process and often leads to lasting change, greater self-awareness and a stronger sense of connection to yourself and others.
